Job summary

Benchmark Human Services is seeking a part-time (and also full-time) Occupational Therapist (OT) to support young children across developmental domains in Connecticut. You will perform evaluations, participate in IFSP development, and provide EI supports to families as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes adaptive development, behavior and play, sensory, motor, and postural development. The position covers multiple CT regions and offers comprehensive benefits and growth

Qualifications

• Must hold an OT license in CT (OT or COTA).
• Bachelor's or Master's in Occupational Therapy completed.
• Valid CT driver’s license required.
• Prefer 1 year of experience with children.
• Bilingual encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Federal and State regulations, including CT Birth to Three requirements.
• Administer evaluations and assessments.
• Develop rapport with children, families, and team members to promote a healthy learning environment.
• Develop joint plan with family and recommend strategies using evidence‑based practices and Natural Learning Environment.
• Implement IFSP for enrolled families and set service frequency based on development and family priorities.
• Provide families with information, skills and support to enhance development.
• Use coaching model and natural environment teaching methods.
• Participate in Birth to Three trainings, meetings and learning opportunities as appropriate.
• Complete Birth to Three Service Coordinator Modules and function as the Service Coordinator.
• Ensure health and safety standards for staff and clients.
