Job summary

California Children's Services (CCS) Medical Therapy Unit (MTU) in the County of San Mateo is seeking pediatric occupational therapists for a Full‑Time, Regular position. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team providing medical therapy services to children with physical disabilities.

Licensure requirements: Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in California. Preferably one year of pediatric experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy.
• One year of supervised pediatric OT experience.
• Eligibility for California Board of Occupational Therapy licensure and NBCOT registration.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform occupational therapy for children with physical disabilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive treatment.
• Administer OT treatments per prescription from physicians.
• Promote self-care, play and motor skills through therapeutic activities.
• Plan and supervise group activities.
• Design positioning and orthotics and monitor devices.
• Instruct parents and classroom personnel on orthotics use.
• Document ongoing assessment per CCS standards.
• Serve as clinical preceptor for OT students.
