Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Occupational Therapist to deliver one-on-one therapy in children’s homes, daycares, and schools across Greater Houston and surrounding areas. Flexible scheduling includes full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities, with a sign-on bonus for qualifying caseloads.

You will perform evaluations, develop goals, and provide evidence-based OT services while educating families and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Texas OT license by anticipated start date.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
• Previous experience supervising COTAs is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services in accordance with physician-approved Plans of Care.
• Address functional skills including fine motor development, sensory processing, coordination, strength, range of motion, self-care, visual-motor integration, behavioral regulation, and activities of daily living.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
