Job summary

Burke's Early Childhood Intervention team in Lufkin, TX seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide direct therapy for infants and toddlers birth to age three in homes and other community settings. You will collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team to guide developmental progress, coach caregivers, and document services accurately as part of a family-centered care approach.

A Texas OT license and degree are required, with at least one year of pediatrics experience

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• One year of experience providing direct services to individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an Interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to family-centered, evidence-based care.
• Valid Texas driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to infants and toddlers birth to age three.
• Deliver consultative services as recommended by the interdisciplinary team.
• Conduct evaluations and participate in determining therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies.
• Educate and coach parents and caregivers to support developmental progress.
• Collaborate with service coordinators, therapists, physicians, and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
• Travel throughout the service area to provide services in homes and community settings.
