MaineHealth's Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital is seeking a compassionate Nursing Unit Secretary to join our inpatient care team. You will be the first touchpoint for patients, families, and visitors, providing a warm welcome and coordinating clerical tasks in a fast-paced pediatric setting.

The role includes answering calls, triaging, facilitating transport, and supporting daily operations. A High School diploma or GED and BLS are preferred; hospital experience is a plus.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
• One year of hospital or health care setting preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the first contact for patients, families, and visitors with a warm, professional welcome.
• Answer and triage phone calls in a high-volume environment.
• Respond to call bells and communicate needs to the care team promptly.
• Unlock and monitor secured unit doors; ensure visitor check-in and unit safety.
• Greet and assist families, patients, and visitors throughout their stay.
• Support unit operations through clerical and administrative tasks.
• Assist with patient transport as needed.
• Think quickly on your feet while managing multiple priorities.
