Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for MedSurg Neuro-Ortho to lead nursing operations on evenings, nights, and weekends. This role provides clinical leadership, ensures quality patient care, and coordinates staffing and patient throughput within a pediatric setting.

The supervisor will drive safety, staff engagement, and adherence to policies while collaborating with the management team to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Two years of nursing experience are required.
• One year of supervisory or lead experience is preferred.
• Current Arizona RN license or compact license is required.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers is required prior to start date.
• PEARS, PALS, or NRP certification must be obtained within 9 months of hire.
• Current and valid nursing certification or ability to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily clinical operational activities to ensure quality family-centered care.
• Oversee staffing processes and assignments to match patient needs and staff skills.
• Monitor unit environment and ensure availability of supplies, equipment and information.
• Mentor staff and promote professional development and nursing excellence.
• Lead performance improvement projects and ensure timely completion of investigations and reports.
