Job summary

Children’s of Alabama seeks a Nursing Professional Development leader to facilitate the professional development of nurses and staff at the Main Campus. The role is full-time, day shift, Monday through Friday, focusing on education programs and clinical advancement for pediatric care.

An MSN is required with a subspecialty; BSN candidates may enroll in an MSN within 12 months. Licensed RNs in Alabama with BLS/PALS/NRP instructor certification are preferred, with national certification within 2

Qualifications

MSN required with a subspecialty focus; BSN candidates may be considered if enrolled within 12 months and complete MSN.
Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience; 2+ years with a specified patient population or pediatric nursing preferred.
Current RN license in Alabama.
BLS, PALS, or NRP Instructor Certification.
National certification within 2 years.
Member of a professional organization.

Responsibilities

Facilitate professional role development and growth of nurses and other healthcare personnel at Children’s of Alabama.
Design and implement high quality nursing professional development programs.
Coordinate education support, orientation, and continuing education for staff.
