Job summary

Children’s of Alabama is seeking a Nursing Professional Development professional to facilitate nurse development and clinical education for pediatric staff on the Main Campus Harbor Family Center. The role requires MSN (preferred) or BSN with MSN enrollment, and a strong background in clinical nursing with pediatric emphasis.

Responsibilities include coordinating education programs, orientation, and preceptorships, and supporting career growth for nursing personnel on evening shifts.

Qualifications

• 3 years of clinical nursing experience with pediatric focus preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Alabama.
• BLS, PALS, or NRP Instructor Certification; National Certification within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the professional role development and growth of nurses and other healthcare personnel at Children’s of Alabama.
• Design and implement high quality professional development programs for nursing staff.
• Coordinate continuing education, orientation, and preceptorship activities for nursing staff.
