Job summary

Children's of Alabama is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Behavioral Health Inpatient unit at Main Campus Dearth Tower. This full-time role offers an Evening-Night shift from 7 pm to 7 am, with 12-hour shifts across the calendar week.

The nurse provides nursing care with minimal supervision to children aged 4 to 18 and works with a multidisciplinary team to keep patients safe and engaged. A valid Alabama RN license and BLS are required, with national certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Alabama.
• Current BLS certification required.
• National certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients on the Behavioral Health Inpatient unit with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists and nurse practitioners to ensure safety and compassionate care for children aged 4–18.
• Complete unit orientation and function independently in the Behavioral Health Staff Nurse role.
