Job summary

Children’s Hospital of Orange County is seeking an experienced Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager (ACM) to oversee patient care delivery and workflow on a designated care unit, supervising RNs, clinical staff, and support personnel.

You will lead daily huddles, quality meetings, conduct audits, and ensure high‑quality, fiscally responsible care while mentoring staff and addressing performance and staffing needs.

Qualifications

• RN licensure active with current BLS and PALS.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• MSN or related master’s degree preferred.
• Leadership experience in healthcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care delivery and unit workflow.
• Directly supervise RNs, clinical staff, and support personnel.
• Hire/fire, evaluate performance, mentor, and schedule staff.
• Lead daily huddles and staff/quality meetings.
• Deliver high‑quality, fiscally responsible patient care.
• Rounding with patients and families; address employee relations.
