Job summary

Catholic Charities of Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton Counties (CCIEC) seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner to deliver primary care with emphasis on prevention and disease management for all ages.

You will provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to underserved pediatric populations and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in an on-site clinic setting. MS in Nursing, Michigan RN license, FNP certification, and pediatric experience required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required.
• Minimum one-year pediatric Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Current Michigan RN license with Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients of all ages (newborns to adolescents) with histories, exams and diagnostics.
• Order and interpret labs, x-rays, ECGs, and other tests.
• Develop and implement plans for health maintenance, prevention, and illness management.
• Maintain immunization competency and schedule adherence.
• Prescribe medications per established guidelines.
• Provide health education and counseling to patients/guardians.
• Perform minor office procedures and manage chronic disease care.
• Consult with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with center expectations.

Job Summary The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at Catholic Charities of Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton Counties (CCIEC) will provide primary care services to individuals and families, focusing on prevention, health promotion, and disease management. As part of our mission to improve healthcare access, the FNP will offer services to underserved pediatric populations, ensuring they receive high-quality care in a compassionate and culturally sensitive environment. Key Responsibilities

• Assess the physical status of patients of all ages (newborns, toddlers, children, adolescents), through histories, examination and diagnostic tests
• Order and interpret appropriate laboratory studies, x-rays, ECGs and other special examinations
• Develop and implement therapeutic plans for health maintenance, prevention and management of illness. Well child examinations must follow American Academy of Pediatric Bright Futures guidelines
• Maintain competency in child immunization schedules
• Prescribe medications in accordance with established guidelines
• Provide health education and counseling to patients and/or their guardians
• Perform minor office surgical or therapeutic procedures
• Provide comprehensive care planning for clients with chronic diseases
• Serve as a consultant to nursing staff and other health care professionals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Comply with clinical expectations as per our Family Health Center Provider Job Expectations
• Responsible to Medical Director
• Perform other duties as assigned including occasional telephone on-call duties (telephone call only)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Education: Master of Science in Nursing
• Experience: Minimum one-year experience in Nurse Practitioner setting handling pediatric patients
• Required Licenses, Certifications, and Training: Registered nurse, currently licensed to practice in Michigan. Certified as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.

• Physical requirements include frequent use of hands for handling objects, tools, or controls; talking, bending, squatting, twisting, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds

• The work environment may involve varying degrees of physical discomfort and occasional loud noise
