St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for After Hours Convenient Care at the South County location.

This part-time, salaried role involves three 8-hour shifts per week, with afternoon and evening hours and weekend/holiday rotation as required by the department. Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Nursing (ACNP/NP program) and pediatric RN/NP licensure, with 2–5 years of pediatric experience preferred.

• Nursing accreditation as NP with pediatric focus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in professional development.
• Develops treatment plans, treats patients with acute problems following a predetermined protocol in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician.
• Coordinates the care of select patient populations to ensure health and wellness through education, coordination of services and referrals.
• Assumes a leadership role within a specific clinical specialty.
• Manages health care of select patient populations through advanced assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation in a collaborative practice with a physician.

Preferred Qualifications

Utilizes a high degree of knowledge, skill and competence in a specialized area of nursing to diagnose, proscribe, and treat pediatric and neonatal patients within the scope of a formal collaborative practice agreement with physician(s) to support a designated clinical service.

• Manages the health care of select patient populations through advanced health assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician.
