Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for our new Primary Care Offices in St. Cloud, Florida. You will deliver pediatric medical and nursing care, perform exams, order and interpret tests, and coordinate referrals with a patient-focused approach.

The role requires Pediatric NP or PA certification and Florida APRN/PA licensure, plus pediatric experience and BLS. A robust benefits package and relocation support are offered to Associates seeking work-life balance and

Qualifications

Must be certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Must hold a current Florida APRN or PA license in good standing.
Previous pediatric experience required.
Current American Heart Association BLS must be maintained.

Responsibilities

Provides medical and nursing care to pediatric patients with acute or chronic illnesses, with a patient/family centered care focus.
Performs complete or focused physical examinations.
Orders, performs, and/or interprets diagnostic or screening tests to develop treatment plans.
Refers clients to other health care professionals and agencies for specialized services.
Develops or approves in-school management plans for patients as appropriate.
Makes dietary, activity/exercise, counseling, education and health promotion recommendations within the APRN scope of practice.
Must commit to working 2 Saturdays a month (4 to 6 hours shifts).
Initiates any other measure/procedure for which the APRN has been trained depending on patient’s condition and judgment.
