Job summary

Atria Health and Research Institute in Florida seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join our preventive care team. You will provide high‑quality care at our Institute and deliver home visits to members, collaborating with CMOs and pediatric patients as needed.

You will perform vaccinations, phlebotomy, IV placement, meds administration, and point‑of‑care testing. A Florida NP license, BLS, and 2+ years of practice are required; weekend/on‑call availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current FL NP license required.
• 2+ years’ working experience as NP.
• Capable with vaccination, phlebotomy, catheterization, IV placement, IV/IM meds.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with physicians to provide care in the Institute and at patients' homes.
• Collaborate with CMOs to deliver preventive care and comprehensive health assessments.
• Provide home care visits and on-call coverage.
• Care for pediatric patients and cross-coverage of adults.
• Perform point-of-care testing and manage procedures.

Job Duties

• Partner with Atria physicians to provide exceptional care in a state-of-the-art facility, as well as providing care to our members in the comfort of their homes.
• Works collaboratively with CMOs (Chief Medical Officers) to provide Preventive Care, Well Visits & Comprehensive Health Assessments in the Institute, also with direct and indirect supervision for urgent Home Care visits.
• Flexibility to work weekends and off hours for on-call coverage for home care visits and Institute coverage, as necessary.
• Pediatric NPs must have the ability to provide comprehensive Primary Care to the pediatric population and provide occasional cross-coverage of adult patients.
• Adaptability to gain training and demonstrate competencies in a variety of Point of Care Testing modalities and devices.
• Flexibility to perform clinical, administrative, and clerical tasks outside routine scope of practice.
• Providing Home Care Services for minor procedures, such as insertion of peripheral IV for medication administration, wound care, vaccinations, and phlebotomy techniques.
• Documentation and appropriate maintenance of Medical Records for members
• Telehealth visits & Electronic prescribing of medications as needed.
• Maintains a high-quality workforce to assist in the achievement of the Organization’s Mission
• Maintenance & upkeep of Professional Licenses, Certifications, DEA certification, State requirements and National Certifying Agencies credentials

Requirements

• Current FL NP license required
• 2+ years’ working experience as NP
• Capable and experienced with relevant procedures including but not limited to vaccination, phlebotomy, catheterization, intravenous line placement, medication administration by IV, IM and nebulizer.
• Adaptability to gain training and demonstrate competencies in a variety of point of care testing modalities and devices.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
