Job summary

Atria Health is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality care to pediatric members, both in our Institute and in patients’ homes. You will collaborate with Chief Medical Officers and specialists to provide preventive care, well visits, and comprehensive assessments.

The role requires current Florida NP licensure, 2+ years of NP experience, and proficiency in vaccination, phlebotomy, IV placement, and related procedures.

  • Ability to perform vaccinations, phlebotomy, IV placement, and related procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pediatric primary care in clinic and at patients’ homes.
  • Collaborate with CMOs and physicians for preventive care and well visits.
  • Support home care visits and Institute coverage including on-call rotations.
  • Document medical records and maintain privacy and compliance of records.
  • Deliver telehealth visits and electronic prescribing as needed.

We bring together a multidisciplinary team of renowned, in-house physicians to provide proactive, preventive, and precision-based care for Atria members and their families. Each member’s care is led by a dedicated Chief Medical Officer who collaborates on their behalf with specialists in cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, gynecology, endocrinology, performance and movement, and more. Our exceptional clinicians also work closely with the 60+ members of the Atria Academy of Science & Medicine, top experts in their respective fields who are available for rapid consults, support, and referrals.

As a per diem pediatric registered Nurse Practitioner at Atria, you will be providing personalized, exceptional health care to our pediatric members. Your essential job duties will include the following:

  • Partner with Atria physicians to provide exceptional care in a state-of-the-art facility, as well as providing care to our members in the comfort of their homes.
  • Works collaboratively with CMOs (Chief Medical Officers) to provide Preventive Care, Well Visits & Comprehensive Health Assessments in the Institute, also with direct and indirect supervision for urgent Home Care visits.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and off hours for on-call coverage for home care visits and Institute coverage, as necessary.
  • Pediatric NPs must have the ability to provide comprehensive Primary Care to the pediatric population and provide occasional cross-coverage of adult patients.
  • Adaptability to gain training and demonstrate competencies in a variety of Point of Care Testing modalities and devices.
  • Flexibility to perform clinical, administrative, and clerical tasks outside routine scope of practice.
  • Providing Home Care Services for minor procedures, such as insertion of peripheral IV for medication administration, wound care, vaccinations, and phlebotomy techniques.
  • Documentation and appropriate maintenance of Medical Records for members
  • Telehealth visits & Electronic prescribing of medications as needed.
  • Maintains a high-quality workforce to assist in the achievement of the Organization’s Mission
  • Maintenance & upkeep of Professional Licenses, Certifications, DEA certification, State requirements and National Certifying Agencies credentials
  • Current FL NP license required
  • 2+ years’ working experience as NP
  • Capable and experienced with relevant procedures including but not limited to vaccination, phlebotomy, catheterization, intravenous line placement, medication administration by IV, IM and nebulizer.
  • Adaptability to gain training and demonstrate competencies in a variety of point of care testing modalities and devices.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
