Job summary

Palm Careers in California City seeks a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient pediatric Primary Care team. This role provides advanced nursing care and physician support in diagnosis, treatment, and management of pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, board-certified in PNP with CA license, 2-4 years of pediatric primary care experience, and committed to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP) required.
• Active NP licensure in California.
• Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) board certification.
• 2-4 years of pediatric primary care or related setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents, including diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of medical conditions.
• Conduct well-child exams, immunizations, and school/extra-curricular physicals.
• Obtain patient history, assess development, and ensure early detection of health concerns.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging to guide treatment decisions.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans with physicians.
• Prescribe medications, manage chronic illnesses, and educate families on preventive care.
• Maintain accurate EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Act as a resource for patients and families on childhood development, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain patient history, assess physical and mental development, and ensure early detection of potential health concerns.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and imaging studies to guide treatment decisions.

• prescribe medications, manage chronic illnesses, and educate families on preventive care and wellness strategies.
• Maintain and update accurate electronic medical records. (EMR) to ensure continuity of care.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patient-centered care and improve health outcomes.
