Job summary

Palm Careers is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient pediatric primary care team. You will provide advanced nursing care, support physicians, and manage care from infancy through adolescence in a patient-centered environment.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or DNP, active California NP licensure, PNP board certification, and 2–4 years of pediatric primary care experience, with a passion for preventive care and family education.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP) is required.
• Active NP licensure in the state of California.
• Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) board certification.
• 2–4 years of pediatric primary care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents, including diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of medical conditions.
• Conduct well-child exams, immunizations, and school/extra-curricular physicals to support overall pediatric health.
• Obtain patient history, assess development, and ensure early detection of potential health concerns.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and imaging studies to guide treatment decisions.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Prescribe medications, manage chronic illnesses, and educate families on preventive care and wellness strategies.
• Maintain and update accurate electronic medical records (EMR) to ensure continuity of care.
• Act as a resource for patients and families, providing guidance on childhood development, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patient-centered care and improve health outcomes.
