Baystate Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Children and Adolescent Unit at Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield, MA. You will lead staffing, performance management, and resource optimization to deliver developmentally appropriate care for children and adolescents across western Massachusetts.

The role offers patient-centered leadership, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and opportunities to shape nursing practice and staff growth in a premier pediatric setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice nursing in Massachusetts (RN) with an active MA license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in a related setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain staffing plans, schedules, and assignments.
• Conduct staff performance management including coaching and competency validation.
• Manage budgets, supplies, and resources to support operations.
• Establish department goals, workflows, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate onboarding, education, and ongoing competency development.
• Partner with HR and other departments to resolve issues.
• Lead process improvement and change initiatives for sustained results.
• Address patient, family, and staff concerns with timely resolution.
