Job summary

J.D. McCarty Center is seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee professional nursing care and direct care services for in-patients up to age 21 with developmental disabilities.

The role ensures compliance with CMS guidelines, Nurse Practice Act, and State Health Department standards, including medication administration and documentation. The position offers a salary range of $65,000 to $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience, and requires a nursing degree with Oklahoma licensure and supervisory

Qualifications

• Requires Oklahoma nursing license and a nursing degree.
• Minimum 3 years of professional nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to flex hours; 24/7 on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises Nurses, Day, Evening, & Night DCS; coordinates coverage and leave.
• Provides leadership and conducts employee reviews; ensures mandatory training.
• Identifies patient care issues and communicates with DON and management.
• Assists in emergencies and ensures quality patient care and documentation.
• Coordinates admissions, discharges, and staff meetings; participates in committees.
• Participates in Nursing QAPI projects and quality improvement initiatives.
• Engages in on-call coverage with Nurse Admin nurses.
