Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is seeking compassionate and detail-oriented nurses to join our Day Surgery team. You will partner with the care management team to coordinate and manage pediatric patient care during outpatient surgical procedures.

Responsibilities include collaboration with families, ensuring safe, efficient care delivery, and adherence to best practices. Wisconsin nursing licensure and BLS/CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing to meet the entry level for a professional nurse.
• 2 years of prior nursing experience.
• Current Wisconsin nursing license.
• CPR certification - BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient care for pediatric patients and families in a day surgery setting.
• Support care management within a continuum of care and delegate activities as appropriate.

Our Day Surgery team plays a vital role in helping children and families feel supported and cared for during outpatient surgical procedures. We’re looking for compassionate and detail orientated professionals to join our dedicated Day Surgery family. _

Responsibilities include being a partner in the care management team, providing coordination and management of patient care to pediatric patients and families within a continuum of care and delegating patient activities as appropriate within a care management assignment.

Position Requires:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse (or equivalent academic and/or professional experience).
• 2 years of prior nursing experience.
• A license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin. Candidates must show proof of license on or before first day of employment.
• Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.

Hours:

• Four 8 hour shifts one week and five 8 hour shifts the opposite week
• Start times- varying between 8:30am, 9:30am, 10am and 10:30am
