Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital seeks a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced clinical care in the Ambulatory Chronic Pain Clinic and Pediatric Headache Program. This 40-hour per week, Monday–Friday role covers leaves of absence within the Pain Clinics.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and interprofessional care coordination in a busy pediatric ambulatory setting. Strong communication and family-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of pediatric clinical experience.
• New graduate NPs with applicable nursing experience may be considered.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric assessment, diagnosis, and care planning.
• Excellent interpersonal and family-centered care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of pediatric patients in the chronic pain and headache clinics.
• Obtain detailed health histories and perform physical assessments.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate complex diagnoses and care plans clearly to patients and families.
• Coordinate care with physicians, psychologists, nurses, and therapists.
• Support continuity of care through documentation and follow-up.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families.
• Participate in ambulatory clinic workflows and coverage needs.
