Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse for night shift to provide direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team. You will perform the nursing process and deliver developmentally appropriate, family-centered care, with emphasis on safety and quality outcomes.

Required: 12 months RN experience and graduation from an accredited nursing program. GA RN licensure or eNLC, BLS within 30 days, and PALS/PEARS within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure as RN in Georgia or multi-state via eNLC.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
• PALS or PEARS certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing process to deliver age- and family-centered care.
• Integrates language and cultural preferences into care.
• Uses clinical decision support to prioritize and adapt plans.
• Documents health data with appropriate tools.
• Provides patient and family education.
• Plans nursing care that is safe, effective, and financially responsible.
• Oversees care by unlicensed personnel while keeping accountability.
• Engages in teaching, coaching and shared leadership.
• Supports timely admission, transfer and discharge for unit.
