Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a licensed Neuropsychologist to oversee and develop neurofunctional assessments, translating findings into therapeutic approaches within a transdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include supervision of students and coordination of a clinical database, with a focus on high-quality patient care and policy development.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD or PsyD, Georgia licensure or eligibility, and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Special training and/or experience in pediatric neuropsychology.
• 4 years of experience in direct assessment and care of patients with neurological diagnoses in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Experience in family therapy/counseling related to impaired neurofunctioning.

Responsibilities

• Provides effective delivery of services tailored to patient needs and severity.
• Implements inpatient cognitive remediation techniques.
• Provides appropriate assessment and treatment.
• Develops and implements assessment standards and treatment plans.
• Documents treatment notes weekly/monthly.
• Completes discharge and follow-up per standards.
• Demonstrates commitment to professional growth.
• Bills for services per CMS regulations.
• Supervises psychometrician and students.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement of care.
