Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital's Department of Neurology is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our team, caring for infants, children and adolescents with neurological and developmental disorders.

The role includes triaging patient messages, coordinating care, educating families, and collaborating with the Epilepsy team to ensure comprehensive, compassionate care. The position is full-time in our Massachusetts facility.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• At least two years of Pediatric RN experience in inpatient or ambulatory settings preferred.
• Neurology and/or epilepsy experience preferred.
• MA RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Triaging and managing patient messaging and communication via phone and patient portal.
• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and modifying plans of care for a specific patient assignment throughout the healthcare continuum.
• Providing exemplary patient care and working closely with physician partners and members of the interdisciplinary Epilepsy team.
• Contacting patients for changes in clinical management.
• Providing ongoing care coordination between clinic visits by communicating with families, healthcare team members and other agencies involved.
• Educating patients and families regarding disease management and medications.
• Assisting with completion of prescriptions, school forms, medication and DME insurance authorizations, and other community networking resources and referrals.
