Job summary

UC San Diego invites applications for a Staff Research Associate I to join the Greene Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience lab. You will support a study examining brain mechanisms in children with Tourette syndrome, including scheduling, screening, and data collection.

The role involves neuroimaging (fMRI), cognitive and clinical assessments, and data management within a cross-disciplinary team. Prior lab experience with children and MRI is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is desirable.
• Knowledge of cognitive and clinical testing methods.
• Familiarity with MRI methods for research is preferred.
• Strong statistics and research methodology background.
• Ability to follow lab protocols and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with participants and families, recruit, screen, and schedule study participants.
• Assist with neuroimaging data collection and management (e.g., fMRI).
• Score, process, and analyze behavioral, clinical, and imaging data.
• Manage IRB protocols, participant payments, and data entry in databases.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across neuroscience and psychology.
