Job summary

Inova Health System seeks a dedicated Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist to join Inova Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Team in Northern Virginia. The role involves delivering coordinated, multispecialty care for brain tumors in both outpatient and inpatient settings, with a focus on education and translational research.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited institution.
• Board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
• Completion of pediatric residency and pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship.
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to start.
• Ability to complete payer credentialing and CMS enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated multispecialty care to patients with brain tumors and other neurologic oncologic conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary pediatric oncology care with a team including neurosurgery, radiation oncology, neuro-radiology, clinical research, genetic counseling, palliative care, nutrition, and psychosocial support.
• Participate in the inpatient care team.
• Provide clinical teaching and in-service education to medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in pediatric oncology clinical research projects and studies, including translational efforts.
