Job summary

Inova Health System is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist to join the Inova Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Team in Northern Virginia. This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance as part of a competitive compensation package.

The successful candidate will provide coordinated care for brain tumors in both outpatient and inpatient settings, participate in multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to clinical teaching and pediatric oncology research.

Qualifications

• MD from an accredited institution.
• Board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
• Completion of pediatric residency and a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to start.
• Ability to complete CMS/Medicare credentialing.
• Credentialing for Medical Staff membership and privileges.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated multispecialty care to patients with brain tumors and other neurologic oncologic conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary pediatric neuro-oncology care with a team including neurosurgery, radiation oncology, neuro-radiology, clinical research, genetics, palliative care, nutrition, and psychosocial support.
• Provide clinical teaching and in-service education to medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in pediatric oncology clinical research projects and translational studies.

Inova Children's and Inova Schar Cancer Institute are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist to join our Inova Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a nationally recognized children's health system and contribute to the continued expansion of comprehensive pediatric specialty care throughout Northern Virginia. This full-time position is eligible for a sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated, multispecialty care to patients with brain tumors and other neurologic oncologic conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

• Participate in multidisciplinary pediatric neuro‑oncology care with a team that includes pediatric neurosurgery, radiation oncology, neuro‑radiology, clinical research, genetic counseling, pediatric palliative care, nutrition, and psychosocial support.

• Provide clinical teaching and in‑service education to medical students, residents, and fellows.

• Engage in pediatric oncology clinical research projects and studies, including translational efforts.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification: Board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Hematology‑Oncology.
• Experience: Successful completion of a pediatric residency program and a Pediatric Hematology‑Oncology fellowship.
• Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start.
• Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third‑party payors and to be enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor.
• Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services.
