Job summary

Cook Children’s in Fort Worth, TX seeks an LCSW to join the Nephrology Clinic. The social worker will provide direct services to patients and families facing acute or chronic medical conditions and deliver ongoing counseling to support family functioning.

Strength in coordinating resources and experience with children and families in a hospital setting is preferred. Texas licensure as LCSW and BLS within 30 days of employment are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited school of Social Work.
• Previous hospital setting experience and prior experience working with children and families is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct Social Work services to patients and families coping with acute or chronic medical conditions.
• Provide ongoing supportive counseling/clinical therapy to maintain functional behavior of families.
• Assess families for needed assistance with resource procurement to support care in ambulatory or inpatient settings.
