Job summary

Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Pediatric/Neonatal, for FT night shift at Baptist Medical Center East. You will perform respiratory care, including ventilator management, nitric oxide, and surfactant administration for infants and children, with potential involvement in high-risk deliveries and neonatal transport.

The role requires a degree in Respiratory Care, NBRC RRT and ASBRT LRT credentials, BLS, and area-specific certifications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Respiratory Care required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active NBRC RRT and ASBRT LRT credentials required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on area.
• Neonatal/Pediatric Transport certification required if assisting with regional ground transport.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation of the pulmonary system in pediatric and neonatal patients.
• Manage pediatric and neonatal ventilator support including high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFO).
• Administer Nitric Oxide and surfactant as indicated.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries (C-sections) and regional ground transport as needed.
• Collaborate with care teams and maintain accurate documentation.
