Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for pediatric and neonatal care at Baptist Medical Center East. The role covers treatment, ventilator management, nitric oxide, and surfactant administration, with potential involvement in high-risk deliveries and regional transport.

The position requires a Respiratory Care degree, NBRC RRT and LRT credentials, and BLS. Neonatal transport certification is required if regionally transporting patients. Onsite, third shift, full-time.

Qualifications

• Degree in Respiratory Care is required.
• Active ASBRT LRT and NBRC RRT credentials are required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist or pulmonary function testing.
• Neonatal Pediatric Transport certification required if assisting with regional ground transport.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on area.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with pulmonary deficiencies.
• Ventilator management including conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation; nitric oxide and surfactant administration.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and regional ground transport when needed.
