Job summary

Christus Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels seeks a Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive PT services to inpatients and outpatients, developing treatment plans and supporting discharge planning. The role entails supervising PT students and staff, contributing to program development, and participating in Performance Improvement initiatives.

The position requires a Texas PT license and a degree in Physical Therapy; pediatrics and neonatal therapy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or entry level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university in the area of Physical Therapy is required.
• All modalities/equipment used by a Physical Therapist as outlined by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to determine the status of the physical, cognitive abilities of inpatients and outpatients, considering diagnosis and age specific needs.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans with patient/family participation, with measurable goals and methods to achieve goals.
• Adheres to documentation standards including Initial Evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participates in patient care conferences and departmental meetings.
• Counsels patient and family regarding evaluation, care, and treatment; completes discharge planning and education.
• Supervises PT/PTA students, rehab technicians, and volunteers; assists with scheduling and staff coordination.
• Promotes CORE values and participates in Performance Improvement activities.
