UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a Music Therapist I to join the pediatric rehabilitation team at UNC Children’s Hospital. You will deliver evidence-based music therapy within a collaborative pediatric therapies environment, serving patients across units including NICU, PICU, and hematology/oncology.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy with internship included.
• Certified Music Therapist by the Board of Music Therapists.
• BLS within 3 months of hire date.
• NICU-MT certification preferred.
• No prior experience required; pediatric medical setting preferred.
• Minimum 1 year professional music therapy experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Reviews charts and performs comprehensive patient assessments per provider orders; develops a plan of care with short and long-term goals.
• Implements individualized patient treatment plans with group and/or individual interventions.
• Documents and reports patient responses; re-assesses progress and modifies goals as needed.
• Collaborates with patient, family/caregiver, and treatment team to determine discharge and transition plans.
• Consults with interdisciplinary team on music therapy interventions to meet patient needs.
• Provides clinical precepting and teaching for students and/or staff under supervision.
