UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a Music Therapist I to join our pediatric rehabilitation team and provide music therapy services at UNC Children’s Hospital. You will work within a collaborative pediatric therapies team including child life, OT, PT, and speech therapy to help children cope, connect, and heal while growing your skills with colleagues who care deeply about kids and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy with internship.
• Board Certified Music Therapist (preferred).
• BLS within 3 months of hire date.
• NICU-MT certification preferred.
• No prior pediatric hospital experience required; 1 year preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide chart reviews and comprehensive assessments; plan care with short and long-term goals.
• Deliver individualized and group music therapy interventions.
• Document and reassess progress toward goals; modify plan as needed.
• Collaborate with patient, family, and treatment team for discharge planning.
• Consult with interdisciplinary team on music therapy interventions.
• Provide clinical precepting and teaching for students or staff.
