Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Orlando, FL is seeking an MRI Technologist (Casual/PRN) to perform MRI studies and deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced pediatric environment. You will interact with patients, families, and radiology staff to ensure safe, accurate imaging and documentation.

The role requires an associates degree, MRI certification (ARRT/ARMRIT), BLS, and 6 months to 1 year of experience, with preference for MR Safety Officer certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Minimum of six months to one year experience.
• MRI certification (ARRT or ARMRIT) required upon hire.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.
• Certified MRI Safety Officer, MRSO preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Magnetic Resonance imaging studies with a focus on patient care and safety.
• Explain the procedure to patients and families; obtain informed cooperation.
• Screen patients for contraindications and administer contrast materials when needed.
• Start IVs, inject contrast, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Operate MRI equipment and scanning workstation; ensure proper parameters set by radiologist.
• Maintain safe work environment and assist in training new staff and students.
