Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville seeks an MRI Technologist to perform all MRI procedures in line with department policies to ensure excellent patient care at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

Key responsibilities include confirming exam requests and patient IDs, applying a broad range of imaging skills, and upholding safety standards for MRI screening of patients, staff, and self.

Qualifications

• Must hold ARRT licensure in Radiologic Technology (MRI).
• Graduate of an approved MRI program or discipline-specific program.
• Experience level: Less than 1 year in MRI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
• Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
• Provides MRI screening process to patients, staff and self according to safety standards.
