Job summary

The MRI Technologist at Johns Hopkins All Children\'s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL performs complete and diagnostic pediatric MRI studies for radiologist interpretation, following defined protocols.

Evening shift 12:30p - 9p with potential on-call weekends; full-time (40 hours/week). Requires AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology training and 3 years MRI experience in neuro, body, MSK, and vascular areas.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 3 years MRI experience in neuro, body, musculoskeletal, and vascular areas.
• Florida Radiography License and ARRT MR; Current BLS.
• Strong computer skills with PACS, post-processing workstations, and databases.
• MRI contrast administration with IV skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce and evaluate MRI images per defined protocols for radiologist interpretation.
• Adhere to radiology safety policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain required continuing education for clinical, family, and patient-centered care.
• Safely screen for MRI contraindications and assist anesthesia staff as needed.
• Support radiology nursing in preparing and monitoring sedated patients in MRI.
