Job description

Zarminali Pediatrics is building the nation's leading pediatric multispecialty group focused on supporting families to shape healthy futures for their children – from birth through adulthood – by transforming the way pediatric care is delivered nationwide. We are tackling today's challenges of increased administrative burden on clinicians and a siloed approach to pediatric care through intentional design of care delivery, enhanced by leading technology and collaborative, expert care teams.

Our name, inspired by our founder's daughter's name – Zarmina – means “something that is more precious to you than gold”. We couldn’t think of anything that better represents the way parents and caregivers hold the relationship with their children as the most valuable gift, and how we at Zarminali approach care for each child with equal reverence.

We strive for a healthier future for pediatric patients and a happier future for pediatric clinicians nationwide, and we are looking for people to join us in achieving this vision. If you are eager to join a growth stage company and be part of the early team that is shaping the foundation of both the company and the delivery of pediatric care, then this opportunity might be for you!

POSITION OVERVIEW

Zarminali Pediatrics is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Mental Health Therapist to join our inaugural team in West Bloomfield, Michigan. You will play a vital role in advancing pediatric behavioral health within our integrative primary care model—working hand in hand with pediatricians and families to provide compassionate, coordinated care that supports each child’s path to a healthy future.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Clinical Assessment & Care: Deliver expectational behavioral health care through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Growth & Emotional Wellbeing: Support children’s emotional growth and resilience by monitoring behavioral and developmental milestones and implementing evidence‑based interventions.
  • Family Engagement & Education: Collaborate with families to reinforce understanding of behavioral health conditions and promote effective caregiver engagement.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in alignment with ethical, regulatory, and organizational standards.
  • Collaboration: Work as part of an integrated primary care team to deliver coordinated, evidence‑based care that integrates behavioral health for comprehensive patient wellbeing.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
  • Communication: Build trusting relationships with children and families and facilitate open dialogue around sensitive topics.
  • Advocate: Support children and caregivers through their behavioral health journey and connect them with resources that promote healing, resilience, and long‑term wellbeing.
  • Collaborative: Work seamlessly within an integrated primary care environment, consulting with pediatricians and other providers.
  • Tech‑Forward: Leverage technology to enhance clinical documentation and improve access to care through virtual visits.
  • Growth‑Orientated: Embrace ongoing learning and clinical development, contributing to innovation and peer mentorship.
  • Family First: Honor the unique perspectives and values of each family, providing guidance grounded in empathy and partnership.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Current and unrestricted license to practice as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in Michigan.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of post‑licensure experience providing therapy, assessment, or behavioral health services in a pediatric, family, or integrated care setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, team‑based environment that values integration between behavioral and physical health.
  • Proven ability to assess and treat a range of pediatric conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, behavioral challenges, trauma, and adjustment concerns.
WHAT WE OFFER:
  • Enjoy a balanced work‑life schedule with dedicated administrative time built in.
  • Make a lasting impact by helping shape an innovative behavioral health program embedded within primary care.
  • Receive a competitive compensation package with performance‑based incentives and benefits designed to support your wellbeing.
  • Practice in a thoughtfully designed clinic that fosters patient comfort, emotional safety, and a calming therapeutic environment ideal for children and families.
