Job summary

Medical Health Associates (MHA) seeks an experienced Certified Medical Coder to support its network of outpatient pediatric offices. This flexible role can be full- or part-time and is primarily remote after in-office training, with a minimum of four hours per week on site.

You will review documentation, assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes, and support compliant reimbursement. You will stay current with coding updates and payer requirements, assist with denials and appeals, and ensure HIPAA

Qualifications

• Current coding certification CPC/CCS-P or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of medical coding experience in a physician office or medical practice.
• Pediatric coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review provider documentation and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for outpatient pediatric services.
• Ensure coding complies with payer guidelines, federal regulations, and organizational policies.
• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies by working with providers and clinical staff.
• Review claims for coding accuracy prior to submission.
• Assist with denial management and coding-related appeals as needed.
• Stay current with coding updates, payer requirements, and regulatory changes.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
