Job summary

Medical Health Associates (MHA) is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder to join our team supporting a network of outpatient pediatric physician offices. This role reviews clinical documentation, assigns accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes, and ensures compliance with coding regulations and payer guidelines.

You will identify coding discrepancies, assist with denial management, and stay updated with regulatory changes while maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Current coding certification required (CPC, CCS-P, or equivalent).
• Minimum of two (2) years of medical coding experience in a physician office or medical practice.
• Pediatric coding experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and payer-specific coding guidelines.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
