Job summary

PM Pediatric Care in Bayside, NY and Forest Hills, NY seeks a Medical Assistant to support pediatric patients in a fast-paced urgent care setting under physician supervision. The role focuses on clinical and administrative tasks across multiple areas.

Requirements include MA training or recent MA experience, preferably in pediatrics. Availability for a variety of shifts, including weekends, is required; computer skills and a patient‑centered approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have completed formal Medical Assistant training or hands‑on MA experience within the last 6 months, preferably in Pediatrics.
• This role is open to Medical Assistants only and applications without MA training or experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (venipuncture).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds and aid in lab QA testing.
• Support patient care within the scope of practice and maintain room readiness.
• Ensure waiting room and exam rooms stay stocked and clean.
• Assist during emergencies and notify medical team as needed.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow policies.
