Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Pediatric Care team at the Riverside location. This 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two weeks) role offers a benefits-eligible schedule and a sign-on bonus up to $2,000, with weekday hours and no weekend shifts.

You will perform high-level patient-care tasks under the supervision of physicians and nurses, document care, educate patients and families, and help ensure safe, coordinated care across the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN Program is required.
• Non-Certified Applicants with less than six (6) months of Medical Assistant experience must have graduated from an accredited school with a clinical externship
• Basic Life Support Certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Delivers care as delegated by the physician/authorized practitioner or RN, to assigned patient population.
• Follows the patient’s plan of care.
• Prioritizes work based on patient acuity, resources, and preferences in collaboration with the care team.
• Performs high and low risk technical procedures including medication administration and CPR assistance.
• Documents care in the medical record and communicates findings to the team.
• Ensures continuity of care and compliance with policies and guidelines.
