Job summary

Pediatric Associates Family of Companies in Hollywood, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in pediatric care, handle intake, vitals, and administrative tasks in a team-based medical home.

The role emphasizes vaccines, patient education, documentation, and coordination of follow-up care; requires MA diploma/certification or 1 year experience, BLS, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA Diploma/Certification required or a minimum of 3 years MA experience in healthcare.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Current, valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high quality patient experience; welcome patients; ensure a safe patient environment, office and exam room cleanliness and appropriate supplies and equipment for patient care in adherence to infection control policy and procedures.
• Perform and document the patient’s intake vitals and notify the clinician of any abnormal findings.
• Interview the patient and document histories with accurate records and update medical records.
• Assist clinicians with examinations, screenings, wound care, and procedures under supervision.
• Vaccination and medication reconciliation with patient education prior to administration.
