Job summary

Pediatric Associates is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinicians in pediatric care at our Deltona location. You will conduct intake and vitals, prepare patients for exams, assist with procedures, and help manage vaccines and records.

The role requires MA certification or equivalent experience, current BLS, and HS diploma. The position includes a Monday–Friday schedule with monthly Saturday shifts and a $500 sign-on bonus for external hires.

Qualifications

Requires MA Diploma/Certification or ≥3 years MA experience.
Active BLS certification required.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; for foreign doctors, a BS in General Medicine is expected.

Responsibilities

Assist clinicians with patient intake and vitals, and document appropriately.
Prepare patients for examination and assist with age-appropriate procedures.
Perform phlebotomy and specimen handling as directed by clinicians.
Administer vaccines and manage documentation and education for patients/parents.
Maintain vaccine cold chain management and proper waste handling.
Support with referrals, prescriptions, and follow-up tasks as needed.
Ensure infection control policies are followed and chart accuracy is maintained.
