Job summary

Pediatric Associates Family of Companies in St. Augustine, FL seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in pediatric care.

You will perform intake vitals, prepare patients for examination, and assist with age-appropriate screenings under supervision. This role emphasizes vaccine reconciliation, documentation, and patient education, with schedule including weekdays and Saturday shifts; a $500 sign-on bonus is available for external hires.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare setting.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• MA Diploma or Certification required.
• Knowledge of immunization and vaccine safety.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-quality patient experience, welcome patients and ensure a safe environment.
• Take and document intake vitals and notify clinician of abnormal findings.
• Interview patients with age-appropriate questions and document medical histories.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist clinicians with procedures.
• Perform vaccine and medication reconciliation and provide vaccine information statements.
• Adhere to vaccine cold chain management and infection control policies.
