Cincinnati Children’s is hiring a Medical Assistant to support Ambulatory Services Allergy Immunology. The role involves patient care, data management, and collaborative teamwork under supervision of a nurse or physician.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of Medical Assisting training, with placement for duties and potential on-site responsibilities at MOB - 3430 Burnet. Full-time, regular status, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting program with no directly related experience OR completion of a formal medical services training program of the US armed forces OR 1 year of related work experience.

Responsabilités

• Patient Care- Provide competent technical and clinical services and flex daily needs based on CCHMC policy, best practice guidelines and department needs.
• Assist care providers with procedures and physical exams of patients.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
• Provide care consistent with the family-centered care and medical home models.
• Provide flexible, culturally competent and responsive care to patients and families.
• Treat families as full partners with decision making processes regarding their child's care, including offering information, services and support in a collaborative and respectful manner.
• Customer Service- Act as a customer advocate and strive to meet needs of patients/families; respond quickly to parent requests and concerns; provide education/information to patients/families.
• Collaboration- Work with others, share knowledge, and promote a positive work environment.
• Data Management- Maintain patient files and data entry; obtain consent and release forms.
• Laboratory Work and Testing- May manage specimens; communicate lab results as delegated.
