Job summary

Henry Ford Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians at the Mount Clemens Health Center. You will greet patients, collect histories, take vital signs, and prepare for exams while assisting during procedures. Strong communication, clinical skills, and EPIC experience are preferred.

The role is grant funded and location-based in Mount Clemens with pediatric experience preferred to support pediatric care teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program with 160-hour externship preferred.
• MA certification or LPN/EMT acceptable with clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Escort patient to room and prepare for examination or procedure.
• Obtain and record vital signs in the EHR.
• Take patient history and document in the chart.
• Assist provider during examinations and procedures per protocol.
• Administer medications and document per six rights; immunizations as ordered.
• Document care in the EHR and respond to patient requests timely.
