Commack Pediatrics Associates in Commack, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our pediatric team.

You will take vitals, update records, assist providers, and help keep exam rooms ready and welcoming for families.

This part-time position offers hands-on patient care, a supportive team, and a schedule Monday, Tuesday and Friday with rotating Saturdays and Sundays. All applicants should have at least one year of pediatric office experience and be comfortable with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CMA certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical office; pediatric experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic computer skills; able to take vitals across all ages.
• Experience with EMR systems, especially AthenaOne, is a bonus.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Be the Calm in the Room – take vitals, update records, and assist providers.
• Set up, sanitize, and restock exam rooms to keep visits smooth.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient history in EMR.
• Greet families, schedule appointments, and handle phone inquiries with warmth.
• Assist during procedures and support a collaborative team.
