Job summary

Henry Ford Health Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in a busy ambulatory setting across Michigan. Under supervision, you will greet patients, collect histories, take vital signs, and prepare for exams and procedures using EPIC EMR.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and strong communication. Previous ambulatory care experience and a clinical externship are preferred; BLS certification by hire is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and communication abilities preferred.
• Clinical medical assisting experience in ambulatory care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patient to room and prepare for exam, procedure, and treatment.
• Obtain vital signs and enter into the EHR.
• Record patient history and assist with examinations.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Document care in the EHR and discharge instructions.
