Job summary

Coastal Kids in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant with front office experience to join our pediatric team. You will support clinicians, manage patient flow, and assist with examinations and vaccines in a fast-paced pediatric setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma, MA certification, BLS, and a valid driver’s license, with emphasis on infection control and accurate medical recordkeeping. Schedule is Monday–Friday with one Saturday per month.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA Diploma / Certification required or minimum 3 years MA experience.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Current, valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high quality patient experience; welcome patients and ensure a safe environment.
• Record patient intake vitals and notify clinician of abnormalities.
• Document comprehensive patient histories and update medical records.
• Assist clinicians with examinations and age-appropriate screenings and procedures.
• Vaccinate and reconcile medications with patient education.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen handling per policy.
• Support care management and patient follow-ups, including referrals and forms.
