Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA Diploma/Certification required or a minimum of 3 years MA experience will commensurate Diploma/Certification requirement.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Current, valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Maintain a high quality patient experience; welcome patients; ensure a safe patient environment, office and exam room cleanliness and appropriate supplies and equipment for patient care in adherence to infection control policy and procedures.
• Record and document patient intake vitals (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and notify clinician of abnormalities.
• Interview patient with age-appropriate questions; document and update medical records including histories, medications, allergies, vaccines, and social factors.
• Prepare patient for examination; assist with procedures and ensure orders are performed and documented.
• Perform vaccine and medication reconciliation and provide vaccine information statements to patients/parents prior to vaccination and administration.
• Adhere to vaccine cold chain management; proper handling, storage, preparation and reporting of excursions.
• Perform patient identifiers and vaccine/medication administrations with post-observation.
• Complete follow-up tasks (phone calls, prescriptions, referrals, forms) to meet patient needs.
• Perform phlebotomy and proper lab sample processing as per policy.
• MA team members contribute to the patient-centered medical home model; meet quality and KPI standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
